Funeral prayers of martyred Qilla Abdullah DPO offered in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: The funeral prayers of SSP Sajid Khan Mohmand were offered at Malik Saad Shaheed Police Lines in Peshawar on Tuesday.

"We have not backed out in our fight against terrorism," said KP Inspector General Salahuddin Mehsud, who was present at the police lines for the prayers. 

A large number of high-ups from the government were present at the funeral, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, Peshawar Corps Commander Lieutenant General Nazeer Ahmed Butt and Frontier Constabulary Commandant Liaquat Ali.

The martyred officer will be buried in a graveyard in his native town, Duran Pur in Peshawar.

Mohmand, the Qilla Abdullah District Police Officer,  was martyred in a terrorist attack on Boghra Road in Chaman on Monday.

Over a dozen police personnel and civilians were also injured in the attack, police officials said.
