People excited for Ed Sheeran’s cameo in Game of Thrones didn’t have to wait long as the singer appeared during the season 7 premiere of HBO's epic fantasy show.

During the episode, Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) is riding through a forest when she stumbles upon a group of Lannister soldiers. She overhears Sheeran’s unnamed character singing and stops to listen.

"For hands of gold are always cold, but a woman's hands are warm," Sheeran sings as Arya looks on.

"It's a pretty song, I've never heard it before," remarks Arya.

"It's a new one," Sheeran says, smiling.

While the cameo has been hyped by show makers and the singer yet the scene failed to impress the audiences or leave its mark, which led to fans venting out their feelings on social media.
