Four killed, one injured in Mastung firing

QUETTA: Four people were killed when unidentified people opened fire at a car near Mastung district of Balochistan Wednesday morning.

According to the police, the vehicle was en route to Karachi from Quetta when the incident took place. The assailants managed to flee the site.

The police and resume teams reached the area and took the dead to a hospital in Mastung while the injured were shifted to the facility in Quetta.

The four people on board in the vehicle died on the spot while one other was injured. They were all from the same family.  

AFP adds: District police chief Ghazanfar Ali Shah confirmed the details and said police suspect the attack was pre-planned, with informants in Quetta informing the attackers about the family´s movements.
