ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Naeemul Haque has called upon the National Assembly to “get ready to elect a new prime minister”.

Addressing the media on Thursday, Haque alleged that the prime minister produced fraudulent documents before the Supreme Court.

“The prime minister produced fake documents in court. The PM House is the centre of all the fraud,” he said, adding that the Sharifs were providing the apex court with fake information in order to make the JIT report controversial.

“The Supreme Court has no option but to disqualify Nawaz Sharif under Articles 62 and 63,” he said. “Th National Assembly should get ready to elect a new prime minister.”

Pointing to “discrepancies in the Sharifs’ documents”, Haque said the prime minister's date of birth records in Dubai and Pakistan do not match.

Earlier today, PTI Chairman Imran Khan tweeted that another emerging crime of the Sharifs was producing fraudulent documents before the Supreme Court to obstruct justice.

Khan further said the biggest crime was to treat the nation as dumb and with contempt.

The Supreme Court’s special implementation bench continued hearing of the Panama case for the fourth day today.

Advocate Salman Akram Raja, the counsel for the PM’s children Maryam, Hussain and Hasan, prayed the court to dismiss the JIT report as well as the three constitutional petitions in the Panama Papers case.
