ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders on Sunday criticised Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan for failing to present money trail of his London flat.

Holding a press conference here, PML-N's Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said the prime minister presented himself for accountability at every forum, adding, "We have been accounting for three generations, but the PTI chief is unable to present records of only one generation".

Noting that Khan told the court in writing that he didn't have money trail, he said that those criticising others refused to present themselves for accountability. The PML-N leader lamented that they were accused of evading taxes on the basis of an offshore firm, yet it became tax management when it came to the PTI chief's offshore company.

Speaking about Panama case, Chaudhry said the Supreme Court will announce a verdict in favour of truth.

Taking his turn after Chaudhry at the presser, Danial Aziz said the prime minister had been submitting documents of his UAE Iqama [employment contract] in the election commission.

He alleged that Khan was funded by Indian citizens and Israeli lobby."Imran Khan! Your court is held, wherein dissidents are removed (from party ranks)."

The PML-N lawmaker said Khan was chopping off the very branch he was sitting on.

Journalists' protest mars presser

The press conference of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leaders was marred by journalists protesting against the manhandling of two journalists at the PIMS hospital in Islamabad.

Journalists resorted to protesting and chanting slogans against manhandling of two journalists at the PIMS hospital allegedly by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for reportedly taking pictures and making videos of Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan chairman Zafar Hijazi.

Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division Tariq Fazal Chaudhry assured the media personnel that action would be taken against manhandling of a woman journalist by the “FIA at the PIMS hospital”.

The minister said that he has sought the video of the incident and action would be taken against the “excesses of the PIMS administration”.
