Security forces seize arms, explosives in North Waziristan operations

RAWALPINDI: Security forces on Friday conducted several operations in North Waziristan and seized huge quantity of arms, ammunition and explosives from there, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.

The intelligence-based operations (IBOs) were conducted in Ghulam Khan, Lakki Maidaan, Lippi, Sipalga, Kharesan Rocha areas of North Waziristan, the statement said.

The IBOs came as part of a comprehensive military campaign codenamed as Operation Raddul Fasaad, aimed at wiping all terrorists out of country, it read.

The seized cache included heavy machine guns, improvised explosive devices (IEDs), rockets and explosive material, the statement added.
