Sindh ministers likely to lose portfolios: sources

KARACHI: Several ministers of the Sindh cabinet are likely to lose some of their portfolios, official sources said on Tuesday.

A decision has been taken by the provincial leadership to make changes in the cabinet by shuffling portfolios, sources said.

The ministers from whom portfolios are likely to be taken away include Minister for Works and Services Imdad Pitafi, Minister for Population Welfare Mumtaz Jakhrani and Adviser to Chief Minister for Social Welfare Shamim Mumtaz, as per the sources.

On the other hand, sources said, the ministers to be included in the provincial cabinet include Saeed Ghani, Imtiaz Shaikh and Jam Madad Ali. Ghani is likely to be made the information minister in place of Nasir Hussain Shah. Besides information, Shah holds the transport and labour portfolios.

According to sources, some ministers of the Sindh cabinet have met former president Asif Ali Zardari in Dubai in this regard.
