ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Daniyal Aziz on Tuesday lashed out at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairperson Imran Khan for avoiding the law since the last three years.

While addressing a press conference in Islamabad, he remarked that Imran has been absconding from the anti-terrorism court since the past three years.

"How can Imran Khan be arrested, he is hiding away in Nathiagali," alleged Aziz.

On the other hand, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has appeared for investigation more than four times.

The leader also criticised National Accountability Bureau (NAB), he remarked that it was being treated as a dead organisation previously.

"Now, the summons of the deceased organisation have become a matter of political urgency."

Moreover, he asked if the Joint Investigation Team, which was formed to probe ex-PM's assets, failed in its inquiry that NAB is conducting further investigation.

He remarked that people alleging that others are involved in wrongdoings are themselves committing crimes.

"We are being lectured that institutions should be respected. However, our opponents have themselves failed to respect the institutions."

Leaders share a special bond with their voters, he remarked, adding that conceited attempts are being made to break that bond between Nawaz Sharif and his voters.

During the rally, it was decided that a Grand National Alliance would be formed, he said, adding that the further issues regarding legal and constitutional structures would also be discussed.

“We will also speak with the legal fraternity.” Moreover, consultation would be done to set up legal rules, he added.
