Talking to media men at Media Center at Qayyum Sports Complex on Sunday, he said that in such a short time, no one could provide all the facilities to the players regarding accommodation and others. "The organizers did a commendable job," he added.
Accompanied by Director Sports Board Balochistan (DSBB) Dr Saifullah Baloch, the sports minister expressed satisfaction over security measures and said that all the players of the Balochistan were happy with security.
Shah Nawaz Marri stressed the need for holding healthy activities throughout the country because sport is vital to promote peace in the prevailing unrest in the country and is way of bringing out the youth from tension and depression due to terrorism.
He said there was need to work together for the promotion of sport, which would help discouraging militancy. "Sport is a tool which can play a positive role to eliminate militancy and uncertainty that the country is facing these days. I think sport will be fruitful in restoration of peace," he opined.
It is a good omen that in the prevailing unrest, which had badly affected province, was hosting the 31st National Games. No doubt that it was a big challenge, but so far the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had done well, Shahnawaz Marri remarked.
The minister requested the federal government to extend its co-operation to the provincial governments in holding National and Inter-Provincial Games saying that without the supports, the provinces could not take place them in fitting manner.
He said the players of the province should ignore lack of facilities or others and pay their heed on the games for getting laurels and glorification to Balochistan.
