President rings PM, Governor Sindh

KARACHI: President Asif Ali Zardari late Monday phoned Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani and Sindh Governor Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ibad Khan, Geo News reported.

Prevailing political landscape came under discussion during the telephonic talks, sources said.

According to President House sources, President Zardari vowed to continue politics of reconciliation, vowing that PPP would keep on ruling country with all-out support extended by its coalition partners.

President, on the occasion, declared to find solutions to the reservations of coalition partners through holding dialogues.

Sources also disclosed formation of a committee by President Zardari, having assignment to enhance PPP’s contacts with MQM. The committee comprises of Federal Minister A. Rehman Malik and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah.

Interior Minister Malik has arrived in Karachi for the purpose while President Zardari is all set to arrive in metropolis sometime today.

MQM spokesman denied receiving any contact from PPP over party’s decision of severing ties with federal government.
