QUETTA: The Judge of the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC)-1, Ismail Baloch, on Friday ordered to transfer case against Jamhoori Watan Party provincial President Nawabzada Shahzain Bugti to Sessions Court Quetta.
The judge of the ATC observed that case against Shahzain Bugti for allegedly keeping illegal weapons and ammunition did not come under jurisdiction of the ATC, adding, therefore, it is transferred to the Sessions Court.
The learned court passed this order during hearing of the bail application of Shahzain Bugti and his 26 associates.
Later, talking to media, Wishisher Nath Kohli, the lawyer of Shahzain Bugti expressed his satisfaction over the transfer of the case to the Sessions Court from the ATC. He said Nawab Akbar Bugti family had history of sacrifices for democracy adding JWP would continue its efforts for promotion of democratic values and restoration of rights.
