RAWALPINDI: At least one terrorist was killed and seven others arrested in intelligence-based operations (IBOs) conducted by security forces in Balochistan's Mastung and Rojhan Jamali areas, said the Inter-Services Public Relations on (ISPR) Friday.

A cache of arms and explosives were also recovered from the terrorist hideouts. The terrorists were involved in target killings and grenade attacks.

In Punjab, Rangers with the assistance of police and intelligence agencies conducted IBOs in various areas of the province including DG Khan, Attock, Islamabad and Lahore.

During the past 48 hours, 19 terrorists and their facilitators were arrested and a large number of illegal weapons and ammunition was recovered, added ISPR.

Pakistan had launched a nationwide military operation 'Radd-ul-Fasaad' in February 2017, which was based on broad-spectrum security and counter-terrorism operations in Punjab, and continuation of ongoing operations across the country.
