ISLAMABAD: The case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Imran Khan and Jahangir Tareen is all but over, claimed PTI spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry on Monday.

Speaking outside the Supreme Court, Chaudhry said Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Hanif Abbasi's counsel Akram Sheikh tried to provoke the judges today but they did not react and showed restraint.

"Sheikh has now asked for two more days to respond," said Chaudhry, adding that it is a delaying tactic on the part of the PML-N as the case is now over.

He also claimed that Abbasi can be arrested for submitting a false affidavit in court.

In response to a question, the PTI spokesperson said Imran is not scared of disqualification.

Meanwhile, speaking to the media from the same podium later, Abbasi said Imran and Tareen keep changing their stance in the case.

He criticised the practice of submitting documents despite the case having been wrapped up [but not concluded].

"We are asking for accountability of money stolen from charity," he said further.

Later, Privatisation Minister Daniyal Aziz said Imran knows he is a thief.

He added that Tahirul Qadri raised the "save the state not politics" slogan and since then the government has not been allowed to function properly.
