Eight drug pushers arrested, 7 kg hashish recovered

ISLAMABAD: Tarnol Police have arrested eight persons including two women for their alleged involvement in drug pushing activities and recovered about 7 kg kilogram hashish, 120 gram heroin, two 30 bore pistols, 60 rounds from their possession, a police spokesman said.

Following the directions of SP Dr.Khuram Rasheed and SDPO Saddar Circle Tariq Mehmud, SHO Tarnol Qasim Niazi constituted a team.

This team succeeded to arrest six persons during special checking and recovered about 7 kilogram hashish and one 30 bore pistols and 60 rounds from their possession.

The nabbed persons were identified as Rafiq Khan, Ansar Raza, Riasat Bibi, Tasawur Hussain, Samina Bibi and Malang Khan.

Meanwhile, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Ahmed arrested an accused Muhammad Naveed and recovered 30 bore pistols and eight rounds from him.

Sub-Inspector Muhammad Zaman from Kohsar police station arrested Amanat Maseeh, Mansh Maseen and recoverd 120 gram heroin from them.

Cases have been registered against the culprits and investigation is underway.

SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan has appreciated the performance of the police officials who arrested the drug pushers and criminals.

He further directed to curb activities of anti-social elements.
