LAHORE: Chief Minister of Punjab Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday said that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) played a horrible game with the nation, in the name of energy projects.

"People who were knee-deep in corruption should take a look at their own past," Shehbaz lashed out at the PPP.

The Punjab CM, lashing out at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), also stated that the party's anti-Pakistan policies have come to the forefront.

"Those who are against national progress will fail at every step," he said.

In his address at the inaugural ceremony of Jhandial-I Project of oil and gas at Attock earlier this month, Shehbaz said that it is the government's responsibility to bring a revolution of prosperity in the lives of the common man.

"The efficient and just utilisation of these resources can help Pakistan in emerging as a vibrant economic power on the global map," he had said.
