Pakistan envoy in UAE honours national cricket team

Envoy applauded the efforts of PCB for bringing international cricket back to Pakistan

KARACHI: The Ambassador of Pakistan to the United Arab Emirates Moazzam Ahmad Khan on Wednesday hosted a reception to honour the victorious Pakistan cricket team. 

Moazzam welcomed the cricketers and the management of the team and felicitated the team on its performance during the recently concluded One Day International (ODI) series against Sri Lanka. 

“Like the entire nation, Pakistan embassy and Pakistanis living in UAE are really proud of the team on winning the one-day series spectacularly," said Pakistan's envoy. 

The envoy also applauded the efforts of PCB Chairman Najam Sethi and the board for bringing international cricket back to Pakistan. 

Sarfraz Ahmed, the captain of Pakistan cricket team, thanked the ambassador for supporting and recognising the achievements of the team. 

He also appreciated the love of all Pakistanis living in UAE for the team. The event was followed by lunch and group photo.
