FAISALABAD: A man killed his father and younger brother over a property dispute in Faisalabad, Geo News reported Sunday.

According to the police, the suspect, identified as Idrees, opened fire on his father, Javed Iqbal, and brother, Jamshed, after an argument at their house in Chak 230 of Satiana area.

The police said that Idrees’ father used to yell at him as he did not work, adding that the suspect resented that his father used to give preference to the younger brother.

The suspect, who had managed to escape after the killing, has been arrested, the police added.

The bodies have been shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Jaranwala for postmortem.

On Saturday, a woman murdered her three children in cold blood near Hafizabad’s Sakhekhi vicinity.

Zareena and her husband Abid Hussain, a kiln-worker, frequently argued over domestic issues, the police said.

According to reports, a domestic dispute led Zareena to suffocate five-year-old Zehra Fatima, four-year-old Muhammad Faizan, and two-year-old Ahmed Raza and dispose of the bodies in the Jhang Branch canal.

The woman’s mother-in-law, however, showed oblivion to an argument between her son and Zareena.
