Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir, Katrina welcome London mayor Sadiq Khan at Mumbai gala

Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan was recently welcomed in Mumbai by Bollywood royalty and some of India’s biggest businessmen, at a grand reception hosted by the billionaire owner of Reliance Industries Mukesh Ambani.

Actors Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sridevi and film directors Karan Johar and Farah Khan attended the party and posted pictures with the mayor.

Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar was also at the party, with his wife Anjali.

Sadiq Khan took to social media to share pictures from the event.

“What a night! Thank you to the Ambani family @karanjohar & @milinddeora for hosting an incredible evening with business & creative industry leaders to mark my trip to Mumbai. #LondonIsOpen,” he tweeted.

“Fantastic meeting the godfather of Bollywood @amitabhbachchan in Mumbai tonight. #LondonIsOpen to Bollywood movies and their incredible talent,” the mayor posted on his Instagram.

He also shared his excitement at meeting Shah Rukh Khan.

The mayor posed with Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt. 

Sadiq Khan called it an "honour" to meet Sachin Tendulkar.

Earlier, the mayor posted a picture with Ranbir Kapoor.

Sadiq Khan was elected Mayor of London in May 2016. He is currently visiting India and is due to tour Pakistan over the next few days.
