Corps Commanders discuss regional, internal security with specific reference to Afghanistan

RAWALPINDI: In a meeting held at the General Headquarters, chaired by Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, the top brass of the Army discussed the regional and internal security situation with specific reference on Afghanistan. 

"COAS took the forum on board about his military diplomacy through his recent visits aboard and interaction with foreign dignitaries visiting Pakistan," said ISPR.

The participants of the 206th Corps Commanders' Conference also concluded that efforts towards enduring internal peace while contributing towards peace in Afghanistan will continue. 

The recently initiated ‘Khushal Balochistan’ initiative was discussed, which aims to bring stability to the province through socio-economic development and security.

Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad and enhanced security measures along Pak-Afghan border were also discussed.
