LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Hamza Shehbaz said he is proud to be the son of a man whose record is not stained with corruption.

While addressing a laptop distribution ceremony in Lahore, Hamza told the students it was necessary to support the cause of education, which has the power to eradicate terrorism.

Moreover, the PML-N leader said, staying in politics required one to be passionate about serving the people.

Hamza returned to Pakistan in October after staying in London and the United States for nearly two months. It was said that Hamza was separated by Maryam Nawaz from the campaign of Kulsoom Nawaz for NA-120 by-polls. He was also linked to some PML-N leaders who were alleged to have turned inactive when the campaign was in full swing.

He had left for London in August ahead of the NA-120 by-elections in Lahore. He had informed the party’s local leadership that he will monitor the NA-120 by-election campaign from abroad, adding that the party workers should leave no stone unturned in ensuring victory in the upcoming by-poll.
