ISLAMABAD: Awami Muslim League Chief Sheikh Rasheed gushed over Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan’s former wife Jemima Goldsmith, saying that after Allah she saved Imran in the disqualification reference.

The AML chief said that in the case Jemima played a key role in the proceedings, adding that the way she provided the required documents is remarkable.

Rasheed also said that Jemima comes from a good family, adding "if there are no religious obstacles than Imran should remarry Jemima".

Earlier today, the Supreme Court announced its earlier-reserved judgment in the disqualification case against Imran and PTI secretary general Jahangir Tareen.

The Supreme Court disqualified PTI Secretary General Jahangir Tareen but ruled in favour of PTI Chairperson Imran Khan in its judgment on the disqualification case against the two party leaders.

The judgment stated that Imran wasn't bound to declare his offshore company, declared his London flat in an amnesty scheme and that his former wife Jemima gave Imran the funds for buying the Bani Gala estate.
