Weather to remain cold, dry in most parts of Pakistan

KARACHI: The weather in Pakistan is expected to stay cold and dry on Saturday, according to Pakistan Meteorological (Met) Department.

Very cold weather is expected in Balochistan and northern parts of the country.

The Met department said that a westerly wave is still affecting upper parts of the country and may persist during next 12 hour, adding that dense foggy conditions are likely over plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh during night and morning hours.

In last 24 hours, the weather remained cold and dry in most parts of the country. However, rain-thunderstorm occurred at isolated places in Malakand and Hazara divisions.

Rainfall during this time duration was KP: Mirkhani 06mm, Parachinar 05mm, Kakul, Chitral and Drosh 01mm.

Minimum temperatures recorded on Friday were Quetta -10°C, Kalat -07°C, Kalam, Dalbandin-06°C, Malamjabba , Parachinar, Gupis, Astore -05°C, Skardu -04°C, Dir -03°C, Gilgit -02°C, Murree -01°C, Chitral, Muzaffarabad 00°C, Islamabad 02 °C, Faisalabad 04°C, Multan,Lahore 05°C, Peshawar 06°C, Hyderbad 09°C and Karachi 10°C.

The weather in Karachi will remain dry and humid over the next 24 hours, the meteorological department stated on Saturday.

The met department further said that the maximum temperature of the city will be 25 degree Celsius while minimum temperature will be 11 degree Celsius.
