Defence Minister claims there is no threat to Saudi Arabia’s territorial integrity

ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif on Geo News programme Capital Talk with Hamid Mir, said on Tuesday that there is no threat to Saudi Arabia’s territorial integrity and neither to Haramain Sharifain.

Khawaja Asif went on to say that, in case there is a danger then Pakistan will stand by its Saudi brethren.

He added that Pakistani troops are not on the Yemen border, but in fact 1000 troops are in Saudi Arabia for military training who will be back within a few days.

Earlier today, the defence minister had said that the government’s first preference would be to play the role of a mediator in resolving the crisis in Yemen.
