ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Mushahidullah Khan on Monday slammed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government for what he said was its incompetence and begging from abroad.

Speaking in the Senate, the PML-N leader also criticised the prime minister for talking about corruption in Pakistan during his China trip, saying even a dictator won’t say that about his country abroad.

“You were washing the dirty linen of Pakistan abroad. It was painful [to see that],” he said.

Mushahid also said that PM Imran Khan has yet to fulfil his promise of appearing before Parliament to answer opposition queries.

Turning his guns towards Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry, who is often criticised by the opposition for his no-holds-barred comments against them, Mushahid asked why the government has failed to reign in the minister.

His comments resulted in an uproar by PTI senators who asked the PML-N leader to check his language and apologise—which he refused.
