FM Qureshi, UAE counterpart discuss regional issues

ABU DHABI: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi met his UAE counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan to discuss bilateral cooperation and regional issues of mutual interest between the two countries.

“Shah Mehmood Qureshi met UAE FM Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayad Alnahiyan. The two FMs discussed bilateral cooperation and regional issues of mutual interest,” Foreign Office spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal tweeted.

The foreign minister is in UAE to attend the 9th Sir Bani Yas Forum where the changing environment of the Middle East and efforts to bring peace in the region are being discussed.

Earlier in a tweet on Friday, Dr Faisal said that the foreign minister would apprise the participants on Pakistan’s position on the Middle East.

The foreign minister during his visit will meet with other officials as well.
