ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Communications and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf MNA Murad Saeed on Wednesday claimed he was approached by seven members of the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) for a National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO).

Speaking at the floor of the National Assembly, the PTI leader said, “Seven PML-N leaders approached me seeking NRO but no will get it.”

Saeed when asked by the opposition to name those who approached him said, “The first person who had approached him for NRO is present in the Parliament at this time.”

Further, the PTI MNA claimed, “We have made a recovery of Rs460 million from the projects that were initiated during PML-N’s term.”

Stating that those who looted the nation’s money will be put behind bars, he added, “We will make such policies that no one will be able to loot the nation’s wealth.”

Further, he said, “Protecting taxpayers’ money is our top priority. We will bring back the money the previous governments took.”

Presenting a symbolic resolution, Saeed asserted, “The assets of those who stole the nation’s money will be auctioned at D Chowk and such people should be hanged at D Chowk.”

As the opposition interrupted Saeed and demanded that accountability should start from Prime Minister Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan who is being probed for owning a foreign property, the PTI leader said that will be done.

The minister of state for communications further said, “Whenever there is an inquiry against Parliament members, opposition leaders come and only raise one question regarding the charges that have been levelled against them and criticise NAB and other institutions.”

“Shahid Khaqan Abbasi claism there are no allegations against him or his government, but is the Saaf Pani case not a big scandal? Are Ashiana, Multan and Rawalpindi metro not big scandals?” he asked.
