NA-246 candidates meet DG Rangers, commit to strict code of conduct

KARACHI: The DG Rangers, Maj Gen Bilal Akbar met with the candidates running for constituency NA-246 in Karachi on Monday.

It was decided that all parties and respective candidates would adhere to the strict code of conduct.

Commitments were also made to ensure a peaceful electoral environment on April 23, the day of the by-elections for NA-246.

On April 11, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) said that the ballot papers for the by-election in NA-246 will be delivered to returning officers (RO) under the supervision of the Army.

Strict precautionary and safety measures have been taken for the printing of the ballot papers and ECP sources informed Geo News that the process is fool proof.

The National Assembly seat fell vacant after Nabil Gabol tendered his resignation and quit the MQM.
