ISLAMABAD: Security has been tightened in Islamabad after the blasts in Shabqadar, Charsadda in which than 60 F.C Personnel were killed and dozens injured.
Security outside important police offices have been beefed up and personnel armed with sophisticated weapons have been deputed outside the police stations. Extra deployment of police personnel has been ensured at important locations of the city including chowks and signals.
Combing has been ordered in the slum areas while extra vigilance is being made at bus stands and the other public places.
The police commandoes have been deputed around sensitive locations and important buildings while special police teams have been constituted by each police station for effective patrolling in its respective jurisdiction.
Special police deployment has been ensured at sensitive and important buildings while police officials in civil uniforms have been assigned the task to keep vigilance against suspicious elements.
DIG (Operations) has issued special directions to all the senior police officials to conduct checking themselves at all police pickets in their areas and make the security system more effective.
He has also directed for effective coordination among all wings of Islamabad police including Operational police, CID Department, Security Division and Special Branch.(APP)
