ISLAMABAD: The federal minister of aviation said Tuesday evening the Pakistani military was fully capable of thwarting Indian's grave aggressions and always showed how to defend the nation by foiling New Delhi's designs.

Muhammad Mian Soomro, the aviation minister, said so during a meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan at the PM House wherein Jawad Sohrab Malik, a British-Pakistani businessperson and philanthropist, was also present.

Issues pertaining to progress in the aviation sector, ease of business, and privatisation were also discussed during the meeting. Soomro updated Khan of the progress made while the latter assured of his full support to the former, expressing satisfaction with his work.

The former Senate chairperson told the premier that the whole country stood united against the Indian aggression. "We stand by our armed forces and fully back them against Indian misadventure.

"[Indian Prime Minister Narendra] Modi is involved in vicious propaganda against Pakistan but he will fail in his objectives," the minister stressed.

Malik, the British-Pakistani businessperson, said Pakistan had a conducive environment for investment and, given the reforms introduced by Khan, the business community was showing a greater interest in making new investments in the country.

Malik also told the PM that he would soon visit the UK, Turkey, as well as some other countries in Europe to invite businesspersons to consider investing in Pakistan.

He informed Khan of how the interest of Pakistanis, as well as other businesspersons around the world, to invest in Pakistan has increased manifold, especially after stringent measures were taken to make the system more transparent.

"Met with PM Imran Khan today, and as always his courage, his intentions and pure love for our country stand as sincere as he is driven," Malik wrote on Twitter.

"India, beware of such leadership!"
