WASHINGTON: A 6.0-magnitude earthquake rumbled Sunday in the Atlantic Ocean off Brazil, US-based seismologists said.
The quake, which struck at 1308 GMT, was located along the central mid-Atlantic ridge, 1277 kilometers (794 miles) east-northeast of Natal, Brazil.
The United States Geological Survey said the quake was at a depth of nine kilometers (5.6 miles), but there were no immediate indications of a tsunami. (AFP)
