Former CJP Jilani to receive International Justice Excellence Award

LONDON: Pakistan's former Chief Justice, Justice (retd) Tassaduq Hussain Jilani will be awarded with 'International Justice Excellence Award' by International Institue for Justice Excellence. 

Gilani an honorary member of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) will be presented the award in the Grand Foyer of the Peace Palace on May 28 and ICJ President Justice Abdulqawi Ahmed Yusuf will be the keynote speaker. 

London based solicitor Rizwan Sulheria, who has received an invitation to attend the event, says Justice Gilani will be present in person to receive the award and will address the audience. 

"It’s a big honour for Pakistan that former CJP Justice Jilani will be receiving this prestigious award. Leading jurists of the world will be present on the occasion. Justice Gilani has been selected for the award based on his contribution to the field of law. He is considered a leading jurist of the world."
