Ogra recommends Rs11 hike in petrol price: sources

Final decision in this regard to be made by Ministry of Finance after consultation with PM, sources say

KARACHI: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) has recommended Rs11.92 per litre increase in the price of petrol, sources informed Geo News Friday.

Similarly, the Ogra suggested Rs11.17 and Rs6.65 per litre hike in price of high speed diesel and kerosene oil respectively, according to sources.

It also recommended Rs6.50 increase in the price of light diesel oil.

The sources said the regulator had forwarded a summary of increase in prices to the Petroleum Division.

They said a final decision would be made by the Ministry of Finance after consultation with the prime minister.
