Karishma Ali says becoming part of Forbes '30 under 30' list an honour

Pakistani footballer Karishma Ali who was named among five Pakistanis in Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2019 list, says it is an honour for her to be part of the list.

Speaking to Geo.tv, Ali, 21, who hails from Chitral and is the first girl from her hometown to have played football at a national and international level said she wants to represent Pakistan as much as possible on the international level. “It is my wish to bring more and more girls from Chitral on the international forum.”

She added, she wants to create more opportunities for women apart from sports. “After Chitral, I want to work on a national level to create more opportunities for women,” Ali said.

Ali has represented Pakistan at the Jubilee Games in Dubai, with her team becoming the first women's team from Pakistan to participate in the AFL International Cup. She is also the founder of the Chitral Women's Sports Club.
