LAHORE: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman met with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz founder Nawaz Sharif at the latter’s Jati Umra residence on Tuesday.

“NAB is an institution of revenge. You should not expect accountability or justice from NAB. I think we need to take some strict decisions when it comes to NAB,” Fazl told reporters following the meeting which lasted for two hours and focused on problems being faced by Pakistan.

The JUI-F chief said he was visiting Nawaz to inquire about his health and he would also be meeting former president Asif Ali Zardari today or the day after.

“He [Zardari] has a lot of criticism over the state of the economy. After the election everyone was on the same page that rigging had taken place,” Fazl said.

As the meeting was taking place, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry tweeted that the Supreme Court was informed that Nawaz Sharif was so unwell that his life was in danger if bail wasn’t granted. “Now instead of ambulances Fazlur Rehman has reached there and is giving political oxygen to Mian saheb. The courts should take notice of this.”
