The contracts of the coaching staff are set to expire at the conclusion of the World Cup. According to the sources, batting coach Grant Flower has not sought an extension in his tenure beyond the mega tournament.

The PCB had signed a two-year contract with Flower, a former Zimbabwe cricketer, in May 2014, which was extended since.

Arthur had come on board as the national team’s head coach in May 2016, following the resignation of Waqar Younis from the post.

Arthur coached Australian cricket team from 2011 to 2013, and before that his native South Africa from 2005 to 2010.
