Presidential system will be better for the country: KP governor

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shah Farman on Friday said he believes the presidential system will be better for the country.

Speaking on Geo News programme Jirga, the KP governor said, "As per my culture and with amendment, I think presidential system will be better here and more efficient, corruption will be reduced, there will be no blackmailing, federating units will be protected and [there will be] equal opportunities for all."

For the parliamentary system, you have to make a lot of compromises for the majority you have to keep and it has negative aspects, he said.

"For an efficient government, you should have the authority to appoint competent people across the country," the KP governor added.
