LONDON: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and Opposition Leader in the National Assembly, Shehbaz Sharif tweeted his criticism of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) failure to build power plants in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

“No matter how deceptive the swing & how cunning the skipper, the facts cannot be twisted. People know it full well that PTI failed to build power plants in KP despite tall claims, whereas, PM NS added a total of 11000 MW to the system during his prev term. Hence no load-shedding!” Shehbaz tweeted.

The PML-N leader was reacting to an earlier tweet by Prime Minister Imran Khan congratulated Federal Minister for Power Omar Ayub for an increase of Rs81 billion in collection in eight months. In a series of tweets, Prime Minister Imran Khan praised Ayub, adding that 80 per cent of Pakistan was free from load-shedding in Ramzan.

Writing about the forthcoming year, Prime Minister Imran Khan said he expected "another Rs 120 bn to be recovered next year". The premier mentioned that the circular debt flow had already been reduced from Rs38 billion a month to Rs 26 billion and was expected to come down to "zero by next December".
