BONN: Pakistani artist Arshia Sohail concept of freedom through iron cage structured with 'Seven letters of freedom' is being presented at the Global Media Forum.
Sohail is currently working as a curator. She has previously bagged second prize at the Blooom Award 2017. The installation is being shown for the first time at the Global Media Forum from 27- 28th May in Bonn, Germany.
Previous attempt to bring Sohail’s work to Germany was failed due to visa denial to artist on the legal grounds by the Germany embassy in Pakistan. Sohail wasn't able to attend her own bloom prize award.
Sohail’s work highlighted the discrepancy of freedom as being viewed as a different concept when it is applied to one’s self than when it is applied to other people.
