Heavy contingent of police was deputed at Dera Adda Chowk where TMO Sher Shah town Iqbal Fareed supervised the operation carried out with the help of heavy machinery.
Traders' community staged a protest demonstration, burnt tyres and blocked Dera Adda Chowk for damaging a part of the mosque during the operation.
However, later they ended their protest after negotiations with officials concerned. (APP)
