Two police officers martyred in encounter with dacoits in Shikarpur

SHIKARPUR: Two police officers were martyred on Sunday in an ongoing encounter against dacoits in Shikarpur’s Shah Belo area.
According to police, Station House Officer Ghulam Murtaza Mirani of Ghulam Shah police station, and Assistant Sub Inspector Zulfikar Panhor were martyred.
In the same encounter, three police officials were wounded.
A huge contingent of police was summoned and the area was cordoned off due to the encounter.
Police told that armoured vehicles and 200 police officials were taking part in the police operation.
The hiding places of dacoits are being razed to the ground, police said, adding that houses in the area are being searched as well.
