World Cup 2019: Rain expected during Pakistan vs Sri Lanka clash

KARACHI: The match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka scheduled at Bristol on Friday is most likely to be washed out because of rain, according to BBC weather updates.

The weather reports suggest that heavy showers are expected to be seen in the first five hours of the game. If the game gets washed out, both the teams will get one point.

Given Pakistan are favourites to win the game, certainly its not a good omen for the Sarfaraz's men. Sri Lanka has already lost their first two games of the tournament.

The match becomes important for Pakistan as they will be facing relatively tougher Australia and India in their coming games hence sharing a point here with Sri Lanka can potentially create problems for Pakistan in the end.

With a negative net run rate in hand, the team management would want only to win the match against Sri Lanka but with a strong margin.

Fingers crossed. Hope the fans are not disappointed.
