ISLAMABAD: The Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-Mengal) will not attend the All Parties Conference (APC) after being approached by the government.

The APC called by Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam leader Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman will be held in Islamabad today.

According to sources, BNP-Mengal will not attend the opposition huddle. The government approached its coalition partner after which it declined the offer to attend the APC.

Sources further said, BNP-Mengal decided not to attend the APC because they want the opposition to clarify its position first.

Sources added Prime Minister Imran Khan has called a delegation of BNP-Mengal for a meeting. A delegation led by Sardar Akhtar Megal will meet with the prime minister today.
