ISLAMABAD: Minister of Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry on Friday praised Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari's recent stance regarding the allegations against Prime Minister Imran Khan and said the biggest "threat to Pakistan is religious clerics."

During the All Parties Conference (APC) held at Jamiat Ulema Islam (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman’s residence on Wednesday, Bilawal had reportedly rejected Fazl's proposal to make religious allegations against the prime minister and said that he will not use the religion card against anyone.

Taking to Twitter Chaudhry tweeted, “The biggest threat to Pakistan is religious clerics. 75 per cent of our problems are because of these religious scholars. Bilawal Bhutto deserves praise on this stance.”

The APC which was attended by party leaders of all the major opposition parties discussed a movement against the government, the removal of Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani and the observance of "Black Day" on July 25.
