RAWALPINDI: Rawal Town administrator has directed the concerned officials to expedite the campaign launched to recover outstanding dues from the defaulters who did not pay the outstanding rent of the shops owned by Rawal Town.
According to details, a campaign on the special instructions of Administrator Rawal Town/Assistant Commissioner Saif Anwar Jappa was kicked off to recover outstanding dues from the defaulters who are running their business in Rawal Town shops.
The administrator said that strict action would be taken against those who could not clear their dues.
Out of total Rs. 42.5 million dues which were outstanding, so far only Rs.35 million has been recovered. While for the remaining amount a last chance was offered to the defaulters.
Rawal Town Administrator while appreciating the efforts of the staff said officials who are honest, hard working, responsible and performing well would be encouraged while negligent and irresponsible staff will not be tolerated.
Briefing the meeting, held here at Rawal Town office on Wednesday to discuss the budget proposals, taxation officer Peer Shahzad Gohar told that so far Rs. 35 million outstanding dues have been collected from the defaulters.
The Administrator on this occasion directed that remaining dues amounting to Rs. 8.2 million must be collected by the end of June.
A special team headed by taxation superintendent Chaudhary Amjad has been constituted in this regard.
