Karachi court hands death sentence to man who stabbed, killed wife

KARACHI: A court here in the metropolis on Wednesday handed a death sentence to a man who had stabbed and killed his wife seven years ago, police confirmed.

The City Court's Model Court (East) ruled that the crime of the accused, Sabir Hussain, was proven, and he did, in fact, stab his wife to death after attacking her repeatedly with a knife.

A fine worth Rs0.3 million was also imposed on Hussain, the accused.

Police had charged Hussain for murdering his wife, Khair-un-Nisa, back in 2012 over a domestic dispute, and a first information report (FIR) had been registered at the time in Landhi police station.
