Departmental store gutted

LAHORE: Electronics gadgets and other valuables items worth millions were reduced to ashes when fire broke out in a departmental store at Shadman here Saturday.

Rescue 1122 spokesman said that three units of fire brigade reached the spot and controlled the fire after hectic efforts.

However, no loss of life was reported. Cause behind the fire was stated to be short circuiting.

In another incident, wood worth lacs was burnt to ashes when fire broke out in a wooden shop at Bandiya Wala pul near Punjab Society here.
