Motorway Police recover four stolen cars

ISLAMABAD: The National Highways and Motorway Police have recovered four stolen cars and arrested a car lifter.

On a tipp-off, SPO Irfan Bashir and PO Muhammad Raffiq saw Suzuki Mehran car No. LXE-6228 at entry point of Motorway Toll Plaza Islamabad and signalled it to stop. They arrested car lifter namely Kamran Khan son of Shaib Zada Khan, resident of Islamabad.

SPOs Nasir Niazi and Shaffiq Nawaz saw Suzuki No. TK-756 parked in the Parking area of Main Toll Plaza. On search of the car, they found another number plate and original Registration book of the vehicle with owner's name Musharraf son of Kamal Shah resident of Islamabad.

On contact, the owner informed the police that his car was stolen from the area of Shalimar Police Station.

Similarly white Suzuki Carry No. JV-248, Model 2005 was recovered after SPO Muhammad Yasin and PO Muhammad Mumtaz chased the said car on Motorway (M-1) near Burhan. However, its driver fled.

The police recovered stolen black corolla Xli car No. FOB-121, Model 2010.
