PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Shaukat Yousafzai on Tuesday said those people becoming a hurdle in the anti-polio campaign will be treated as terrorists.

Speaking on Geo News’ programme Geo Pakistan, Yousafzai said the reason for the spread of the poliovirus in Peshawar and Bannu was people coming from and leaving for Afghanistan. He termed polio as a form of terrorism and stressed that strict measures were required to overcome this menace.

The minister added that the government was keeping an eye on those individuals who were misguiding others, adding that a decision had been taken to eliminate polio like terrorism had been eliminated.
