Interbank dollar rate dips by Rs0.23 against Pakistani rupee

KARACHI: The US dollar closed Rs0.23 cheaper — at Rs156.62 — against the Pakistani rupee in the interbank market as of Monday's closing bell.

In the open market, however, the dollar closed at Rs156.60, translating into a Rs0.60 loss against the rupee.

Trading range of the KSE100 Index at the Pakistan Stock Exchange remained at 501 points between the highest and lowest marks of the day and closed with a 385-point increase at 30,057 points.

During the day, 77.5 million shares worth Rs2.5 billion were traded and market capitalisation rose Rs56 billion to Rs6.138 trillion.
