CM Punjab Usman Buzdar departs for Saudi Arabia

LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar departed for Saudi Arabia on Friday afternoon for performing Umrah.

According to officials in the provincial government, the Punjab chief minister will also visit the Roza-e-Rasool of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in Madina.

Usman Buzdar will especially pray for solidarity of the country as well as freedom of Kashmiris from the Indian oppression in occupied Kashmir, the state-owned APP news agency said.

Earlier in the day, CM Buzdar's chief spokesperson Dr Shahbaz Gill resigned from his position as the provincial government reshuffled some ministerial portfolios.
